In Loving Memory of Lucy M Paws 2018–2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lucy M Paws, our best friend and a deeply cherished member of our family. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Lucy had a difficult beginning. She was rescued as a stray by Lab Rescue LRCP and was diagnosed with heartworm disease. Thanks to the rescue’s care and treatment, she received a second chance at the life she deserved. Lucy joined our family in 2019, when she was just one year old. We both drove to Norfolk to meet her, and from the moment we saw her, we knew she was our dog. Her bond with us was instantaneous, and she quickly made our home her own. Lucy filled our days with her quirky antics, her gentle kindness, and a smile that was unmistakably hers. She greeted us every single day with love and enthusiasm, making even an ordinary homecoming feel special. She was our constant companion, our comfort, and, in every sense, our best friend. Our time with Lucy was far too short, but the love she gave us will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We will miss her sweet face, her joyful greetings, and all the little things that made her Lucy.
