Dear Nancy. I don’t know how to say goodbye to you because my heart wasn’t ready to let you go. Today, I had to make the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, and even though I know I’m doing it because I love you, it doesn’t make it hurt any less. You’ve been more than just my cat. You’ve been my comfort, my little shadow, my baby, and a piece of my heart. I wish I could trade places with you. I wish I could take away whatever you’re feeling and give you more time. Please forgive me for letting you go. I need you to know that I’m not giving up on you-‘m choosing peace for you. I’m choosing to let you rest instead of letting you suffer. Thank you for every cuddle, every purr, every little moment, and for loving me without ever asking for anything in return. I Will carry you with me for the rest of my life.
