Jewel, aka Seal, was a beautiful, silly, sassy lady. She was timid in the beginning, only approaching us when my husband was eating a spicy chicken sandwich. But with time and the knowledge that she could boss around our dogs, her confidence grew. Seal loved toys, especially rattling balls with furry tails, and she would carry them around the house every night scream-meowing until we acknowledged her treasure. You could usually find her enjoying a sunbeam and her privacy at the top of her cat tower. But when she did choose to snuggle with you, you felt like you were given a rare gift. Seal was a companion and nemesis to our other cat Biscuit, a sneaky food thief, a lover of butt scratches, and the softest girl in the whole world. We didn’t get enough time with her, but what we did get was special. I will miss her forever.
