AFTERCARE SERVICES

TRUE PRIVATE CREMATION

True Private Cremation is where your pet is cremated privately in its own chamber or compartment. Your pet’s ashes will be returned to you. Pet Meadow utilizes both flame-based and water-based machines to privately cremate pets

AQUAMATION

Pet Meadow is proud to offer Aquamation as part of our commitment to greener aftercare practices. Aquamation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis, is a gentle and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional flame-based cremation. Using a combination of water flow, temperature, and natural alkali, this process returns your pet’s remains to ash without the use of fire or fossil fuels.

Families receive the same respectful handling and return of ashes, but with a significantly smaller carbon footprint. Aquamation uses about 90% less energy than flame cremation and produces no harmful emissions, making it a preferred choice for those seeking a more sustainable option.

COMMUNAL CREMATION

This process involves cremating your pet simultaneously with other pets. We do not return their remains. Instead, we scatter them on our burial grounds in Hamilton, NJ.

VIEWING

Viewing your pet prior to cremation can be an important part of the grieving process. Our private viewing room is a place where your family can gather to say goodbye to your cherished pet.

This service includes the opportunity to view your pet’s cremation as they are placed into the chamber. Scjedule an appointment by calling our office.

BURIAL SERVICES

FULL-BODY BURIAL

A formal burial of your pet is available, including a plot, casket, marker, and custom headstone. A deed restriction and maintenance fees ensure the continued care of the cemetery and burial plots. You can make arrangements by calling our office. A burial is only available at our Hamilton office.

CREMAINS BURIAL

Smaller plots are available to accommodate cremains and a granite marker. Attend a service in which we gently bury your loved one’s ashes in your selected plot, providing a permanent resting place for your pet. You can make arrangements by calling our office. A burial of cremains is only available at our Hamilton office.

TRANSPORTATION

We will gently transport your pet from your veterinarian’s office or your home to our facility.

PRE-NEED PLANNING

We know that the loss of a pet is a very emotionally difficult time. For this reason, we suggest that pet owners think about after-care options before the need arises.
You can make arrangements with us ahead of time. As a result, you can decide on your wishes during a time of calm, rather than crisis. Lastly, we encourage you to call us anytime for pre-planning of pet burial services or pet cremation services.
