Lola

Lola was a stray my mom found her Christmas Eve on her way home from the dentist. My family usually celebrate the day before Christmas she was an absolute mess when she was found on the street cold and wet from the snow the man who worked at the bodega said he’s been feeding her but she hasn’t been eating much and someone just dumped her my mom at the time hadn’t had much money to get me a gift for Christmas and I had been asking for a dog so Lola came home with her I loved her even if she was a mutt and a stray I just wanted a dog of my own a friend. We never knew Lola’s age but we knew she had to be at least 1 when we found her and she lived on to graciously gift us 16 years with her where she watched me grow into a woman and become a friend to my 4 year old. She passed surrounded by family and left behind her spouse dog Buda who we also rescued whom they shared 2 liters of 5 children (a Total of 10 kids!) Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.

Reilly

She lived a wonderful life and was treated like royality since the day we picked her out at only 7 weeks old. Reilly loved her food and treats. The vet even called her “rotund” because her belly was a little butter ball. She was a great cuddler and would like to nap next to you or on you. We called her “the princess in the pea”because she loved her pillows. The higher the stack the better along with her soft fluffy blankets. She was serial killer of stuffed animals and toys. Even the toughest toys were no match for her Morkie teeth and her “chompies” which we called it. She made it her mission to get the squeakers out and then the stuffing til it was a lifeless piece of fabric. Rest in peace Reilly. You will always be a good dog!❤️❤️
