Marta
Dearest Marta, I will love you forever. Thank you for being so strong when I could not be, for always giving me love to come home to and fall asleep next to, and for helping me become who I am today. Through multiple moves, jobs, getting fired, tremendous victories, you even knew every girl I ever loved and (ended relationships with)! You were always by my side for 21 years, through the best and worst of everything, we were always one. You were my rock during the more than two decade’s long journey of finding myself, it was more often a struggle than it was not, and I wish you could be by my side now that we are finally so close to our greatest accomplishment and success. We came so far together, and I would not have been able to do any of it without you. Nothing can fill the gap that remains in my heart and soul, I will try to my best to carry your strength with me in everything I do.

Louie
Louie, lovingly known as “Neeno,” came into our lives through a dog rescue and quickly became an irreplaceable part of our family. From the very beginning, his loving, joyful personality was infectious and admired by everyone who met him. Louie loved nothing more than being with his family—cuddling on the couch, going to the beach, chasing animals in the yard, hanging around the family pool, playing with new toys, and joining us on family road trips, especially to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina & to his big sisters college campuses. He enjoyed long walks through the neighborhood and always found his way into the kitchen, where the cooking (and table scraps) were impossible for him to resist. His mother’s meatballs and filet mignon were his favorites. Known for his incredible jumps, Louie would often be referred to as a “circus dog,” leaping onto kitchen and dining room chairs so he could be part of every family meal. He had a way of making every moment brighter simply by being there. Louie was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his father, mother, and two big sisters. Though our hearts are broken, we are endlessly grateful for the love, laughter, and memories he gave us. Until we meet again, Louie—our hearts will always carry you with us. Love always, Dad, Mom, Livy & Emzy
