Misty – 12/31/2024

We say goodbye to our precious little fur baby, Misty. It would be hard to find a dog more gentle, soulful and sensitive as she. She was 16 years old, born on Leap Day 2008. She was a gift from our dear friends and dachshund lovers, Julia & Bob. She was born the runt of her litter, yet outgrew her parents in size. She was also born with a hind leg that was compressed and stiff, that Julia nursed to full strength. She overcame paralysis after back surgery at the age of 5. She fought and fought and fought until her kidneys failed her. But we know our great God is gracious and merciful. “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) We miss her very much. Pupperoni- 1/10/2021-12/22/2024

We lost our sweet boy, Pupperoni, a few weeks shy of his 4th birthday, after a short but aggressive battle with cancer. To know him was to love him. He was the sweetest and most ornery pup we’ve ever had and the best brother to David & Harrison. I think the hardest part of losing a dog you love isn’t having to say goodbye. It’s the way your entire world changes without them and the emptiness that left in your heart when they go. This loss truly hurts as he was still so young and had so much more life to live. We will Miss you so much Roni ????
