You came into my life when I needed you the most. For eight years, you were my constant—through every chapter, every high and low. When I was alone, when I was sad, you were there. You gave me comfort just by being near. I’ll never forget the smell of your soft little neck, the way you kissed my eyelids for treats, or the way you lay beside me in bed, trusting me with your whole heart. You sat by my feet while I worked, tugged at my pant leg when you wanted attention, and always—always—waited by the door for me to come home. You were my shadow. My best friend. My heart. I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life.

Rascal passed away peacefully on February 15th 2025 at the age of 14. Rascal was born on April 9th 2010 and moved in with the Ida family on August 28th 2010. He graduated from the Ida family school of discipline with a degree in good boy. Rascal was a devoted dog and an avid treat eater. His favorites were stinky fish treats, carrots, string beans, and anything you can chew. He enjoyed going for long walks and rolling in the grass. Most of all, he loved sleeping in his bed and sunbathing on the patio. He was also never afraid to ask for what he wanted, with persistent “rurr-rurrs” and scratching on the treat closet door. He is survived by his family; Joseph, Melissa, Emily, and Joseph. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him (except the neighborhood cats and bikes)
