Kuzma
Our brave and beloved son, Kuzma. Always in our hearts. We love you to the moon and back
Nugget
Though our little Nugget was reserved and preferred the quiet of the outdoors, she always returned home each night ā a testament to the love and trust she had for her family and especially for her mom, who cherished her endlessly. Their daily bond, and the way Nugget chose her again and again, made her mom feel incredibly special and deeply loved. Nuggetās soft spirit and faithful heart will live on in memory. āShe chose her person ā and she chose home ā forever held in our hearts.ā

You came to me one cool spring night , a few days old, eyes barely open , resting beneath a bush all alone in my backyard. In many ways you made me a mom with round the clock bottle feeding, teaching you to groom yourself, how to play. Your curious nature and tenacious spirit always filling me with awe and joy. You knew me in my childhood home and saw me through some of my lifeās biggest milestones and challenges , graduating college, getting my first apartment, letting go of my first love, traveling the world, moving to the Catskills, graduating with my OT degree, getting engaged and getting married where we had a signature cocktail called āThe Kikiā. You loved to travel and join us on adventures to Chincoteague and the Catskills. You were an indoor cat with an outdoor cat soul and we would spend many a day outside together watching nature and basking in the son. When we brought home Nova you begrudgingly accepted him as a sibling and you were your dadās first pet. Today you leave me on a cold snowy Sunday in January. I will miss seeing your little face in the window when I pull in the driveway, you running up the stairs to follow us up to bed, catching you sunbathing on your condo, cuddling each morning with your dad before demanding breakfast and hearing your little paws tapping on the back door begging to go outside. Iām even going to miss finding your tufts of long beautiful hair all over the house. The world feels a little uncertain right now and certainly less bright without you in it. I hope that wherever you are you are living an adventurous pain free life and know that your family will always love you. Iām glad you could pass on in my arms surrounded by me, your dad and your brother, until we meet again š

Rubin
Rubin was the best and goodest boy. A retired service dog, he loved to run, chasing after tennis balls was his favorite activity. The outdoors was his happy place, where every smell was an adventure and every day held something new. He loved being in the water, frozen or not, wading, and soaking up every moment. He was the most food motivated dog ever, always ready and eager for a treat or a snack. Rubin didnāt just exist beside usāhe lived. He showed us how to find happiness in the simplest moments: a run, a swim, a tossed ball, or the promise of a well-earned treat. Though his paws no longer run beside us, Rubinās spirit is everywhereāoutside in the open air, in fresh snow and cool water, and in every moment that reminds us how deeply a dog can love. Forever loved. Forever missed. Run free, sweet Rubin. š¾
