Pikachu
In Loving Memory of Pikachu September 22, 2018 – Forever Pikachu was born on September 22, 2018, long loved before she ever opened her eyes. I first learned of her while her mother was still pregnant, and though I was meant to choose a male pup, fate had other plans. The moment our eyes met, my heart chose her. With the help of my sister, Mona, Pikachu came home as soon as the vet gave the green light. From that day on, she was never just a dog. She was my protector, my daughter, my best friend. Through life’s hardest battles, she remained my constant—steady, loyal, and full of love. We grew up together. Pikachu was brave beyond her size, strong beyond words, and loving beyond measure. She belonged to our whole family, always knowing when someone needed comfort. She would quietly lie beside us, offering her presence when words weren’t enough. Her heart was motherly even before she became a mother. She once gently rescued a baby bird that had flown into our home, carrying it outside without causing harm. When a tiny teacup puppy came into our lives and we feared she wouldn’t survive, Pikachu never left her side. Coco was her first baby. Then, on September 22, 2020, Pikachu brought five puppies into the world with Thor—her beloved companion. She was a devoted mother, fierce and tender all at once. When the vet warned that the runt, Oreo, wouldn’t survive, Pikachu proved them wrong. She gave Oreo extra care, extra love, and extra strength. Even after the others were weaned, Oreo remained close to her mother’s heart. Pikachu was small, but she was a leader. She kept her puppies in line, guided them with patience, and protected them with quiet authority. Her legacy lives on through Coco and each of her five children. Though she was the smallest in the room, she carried the biggest presence. A tiny Jack Russell leading a Husky mix and a Lab mix was always a sight that made us smile. She didn’t seek attention from strangers, but she ruled her family with love and confidence. Pikachu left a paw print so deep it will never fade. In her honor, I will live as she did—strong, brave, relentless, and proud. I love you, Pikachu Elizabeth Mendez-Hanley. You were my heart, and you will be with me always and forever. Until we meet again my beautiful angel. Love Mom & Dad Words from family: Mona (Aunt)- pikachu was a funny doggie when she was little. She was able to fit on my shoulder and I would protect her from the evil cats outside. She loved her mother. I would rage bait her and she’d always protect her. She had a beautiful litter and that was a memorable and crazy experience. We all got a chane to live with such a beautiful, lovable and special girl. Shell live in our hearts forever Deanna N (Aunt)- Dear Pikachu, I will always remember you for your fearlessness, for your silliness, and for how ferociously you loved your family. You’re taking a piece of each of our hearts with you to heaven, hold on to them for us until we meet again. Juan P (Uncle)- I’m thankful Pika was in our lives, she brought us many blessings and joy. She will live on through her children. Brownie will always love and miss her mommy. We love you pika. Jorge P (Uncle)- Thank you, Pika, for always barking and putting up a fight for us. You always knew how to protect us from danger. Rest in dog heaven with all the tennis balls and treats from God. Protect our fur babies with your spirit. One day your fur babies or us, your family, will be with you to cuddle and hold you once more. Your puppies will miss you, and so will Thor. Jennifer P (Good mother/ Second mom)- My pika you were the best girl, you were there for me and my sister when we had no one else you gave us a reason to want to be alive, you healed us in so many ways. Enzo
Enzo was the sweetest, orange baby we could ever ask for. Completely the opposite of every orange cat, he was calm, curious, and attached to his adopted “orange brother”, Rocco, who is a menace to society. Enzo only came out of his favorite hiding spots to play with his brother, lay in his favorite spot on top of the cat tree, or sleep with his daddy, his “person”. But it only took a few months for Enzo to know he was too perfect for this earth, and he decided he was ready to go. Rocco is looking for you, buddy, but one day (hopefully not too soon), you both will be chasing and rolling around together again. Until then, find your perfect hiding spot up there and keep an eye on us. We’ll see you soon. We all love you, Potato.
