You were there for each member of the family in different ways. We were bonded to you in different ways. You came to each of us separately for direction and comfort but in different ways. Everything with you was different. Good different. We never had a friend like you Hansel. We always spoke on we think you would’ve looked if you were human because you were so human like. You weren’t a regular dog. Remember when we bought home our grandma’s dog because she had surgery and couldn’t take care of her, you were jealous and angry. The younger you wouldn’t went crazy but the older and wiser you gave her a chance to be a part of the family. You came around. Even though you kept your distance. Remember when we bought home the kids? You were also jealous and keeping a distance but watching them but you came around and started snuggling with them and sleeping with them and just being around there. You even gently snipped at them when they were coddling you too much. You were such a grandpa. The coolest thing about you is that you always came back. You were one of those dogs that ALWAYS came back. You went missing for 3 days once and turns out you were with a female dog the whole time and you came back even with her. That’s LOYALTY. You used to come back with other dogs and give them YOUR food! We all seen it! And they would leave and come back for you the next day or sleep outside and wait for you. Hansel you were loved even when you weren’t home! You were DIFFERENT. So many great memories. We buried you on May 21, 2024 under a tree and planted Orchids on top of your grave. It’s 5AM and I can’t stop thinking about you. We miss you Hansel.
