13 March 2009 – 24 June 2024 On the day we went to find our first family pet we visited a Labrador breeder in Denmark. As we stood looking at this lovely litter of puppies, a brown puppy with the most beautiful face and eyes walked up to us and chose us..…..from that moment we all fell completely in love with this adorable dog and Jasper became part of our family. There are not enough words to express the pure joy that Jasper brought to us over the last 15+ years. He was the most kind, caring and loyal dog anyone could ever want for. Jasper loved our kids so much and they loved him. He was their sibling. He would always sit close to them, put his paw over them for a hug or lay his head in their lap. He loved playing fetch with them and being chased around the hallway and garden. Every morning, he would greet us and wait patiently for his walk. At dinner time he would scan the room looking for the person who was most likely to succumb to his longing eyes which was typically me. And when we returned from our travels he would greet us with tremendous excitement to welcome us home. Whilst we knew this day was coming closer there is nothing to prepare you for the heartbreak and loss. I still expect him to walk up to me at any moment, to see him eagerly waiting at the bottom of the stairs in the morning and to see him jump up when we put our shoes on as he anticipates that he is going for a walk…… So darling Jasper… we are eternally grateful to you for the unconditional love, support and laughter you have given us over the last 15 years. We love and miss you so much my baby. Until we meet again xxx
