we adopted Winnie when he was 3, and he was nearly feral when we took him in. In was a long road at first, him not wanting anything to do with us. But before long, he became family, and was my personal best buddy. He escaped a few years later and we were lucky to find him after a few months being gone — he was a tough cat! Hard to imagine we’ve had him for 15 years, he came along at about the same time as my youngest daughter. 18 years is a good run for a cat, and we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter, more amazing creature to be a part of our family. Winnie, we love you and will miss you dearly. Rest in peace my sweet friend.
