Chi Chi
We picked Chi Chi out of a brood of cockatiel chicks that were being raised in a large fish tank. As we walked up to the tank, most of the chicks stepped back; one stepped forward. So, really, she picked us. She was the model bird, never needing any medical attention until the last days of her life. Chi Chi was a real sweetheart and would always greet us with her (extremely loud) wolf whistle.

Cosmo (short for Cosmopolitan, the drink)
with his magnificent colors, boisterous behavior, and frequent chatter always attracted attention. More importantly, he was a loving friend and had to be with me as soon as he woke up. With him gone, the house is just too quiet and gloomy.
