Big Al, 2014 – 2024
Seven years ago, my now-husband and I wandered into a cat adoption event in Jersey City and met the chunkiest, sweetest, snuggliest boy — a beautiful brown tabby named Big Al. We would go back every week, worried that he would be gone, until we finally closed on our house and were able to bring him home. Mr. Biscuits, as he became known, was happiest when he was eating. But when he had a full belly, he loved nothing more than curling up on his humans’ chests and snuggling for hours. If a person was not available, Biscuit was almost as happy with one of our dogs or our other cat, Seal, who sadly passed just three weeks before he did. Mr. Biscuits was just the best cat, my first baby, and the love of my life. I can’t believe he’s gone.
