Griffey

Today we had to say goodbye to our pup Griffey, just a month and a half shy of turning 17. From the Manalapan crew to the Binghamton crew, Stuytown to the NYLS crew, UES to UWS, LIC to Chappaqua, Griffey was there for it all. He made every place feel like home with his loud bark, relentless arm-humping, and unhealthy obsession with female underwear. We walked miles and miles and miles across the city together. He slept on my face for years. He once went absolutely insane for what might have been his favorite human food ever at an NYC spot called This Little Piggy. Griffey was my anchor when I needed it most. He got me through the absolute hardest chapter of my life and was right by my side through some of the best times of my life. I truly don’t know who I would be today without him. Griffey also turned Brett into a dog mom and was a loving companion to Noah and Avery. He was the definition of loyal and a total menace in the best way. Nearly 17 years. What a run. I know 17 years is a long life for a dog but I wish we had another 17 together. We will miss you buddy. Love you Griff dog. Always and forever.
