Hershey

From Dad,

Hershey, my little girl, you are so missed. In the short span of our 15 yrs together, I’ve learned more about myself than in my previous 40 years on this planet. I’ve learned to love myself more than I thought was possible through the character you brought out in me when we were together. Through my time with you, I developed key living skills that have helped to move me forward. Above all, you helped me to better understand patience. As an active pup, sometimes we would get annoyed at your antics. It was in those times, I learned the most about who I was and who I really can be. You truly were the best friend I ever could have wanted and most certainly the best friend I ever had. Mom and I miss you, our most wonderful girl and thank you for a life well lived.

You have crossed the Bridge and are now with your brother, Chopper. You two got along…most of the time. Any squabbles were few and usually over treats or claiming prime bed space. Chopper attached himself to Mom as you did to me. He helped Mom through some rough times. He would sit in front of her and let Mom cuddle his fuzzy, soft head. He made us laugh a lot just as you did. You loved your belly rubs, Chopper loved his tennis balls. You both tolerated a huge assortment of loving and silly nicknames. You both always knew who we were talking to though.

We love you and Chopper so much. You’re both terribly missed. Mom and I are comforted knowing you are both happy, healthy and pain free once again. Even through your illnesses, you were always a happy pup, as was Chopper. We know “the Boy” and “the Girl” are running wild with new friends in a world where treats, belly rubs and tennis balls never end.
